From community to a caring and inclusive neighbourhood
Hoplr does more than connecting citizens. Local community building is a fundamental need and right to tackle problems in a citizen's close environment. Because the community trumps the individual.
Hoplr tries to anticipate the various social challenges of tomorrow: social cohesion, individualisation, inclusion, community care, aging, integration and civic participation.
The socialisation of our care system implies involvement of the care-dependent and elderly in a broader local community, so that they don't get pushed into isolation, or are unnecessarily forced to pay for help. Hoplr offers several tools so that neighbours and volunteers can step up as first line care providers.
Before starting up our community work, we looked for a workable system to easily match the supply and demand of citizens. Hoplr proved this surprisingly fast. In a short period of time, many citizens have become a member of their digital neighbourhood. This confirms the necessity of a neighbourhood platform to enhance the sense of belonging. Hoplr helps us to make Olen a warm and caring municipality.Read the case study of Olen
